Occupation of Young People's Free Time

OTLJ aims to occupy the free time of young people through projects that develop their personal, social and relational skills, promote their training by offering practical experiences in various areas.

The program aims to contribute to non-formal education, exposing them to new realities and activities that complement their school path and prepare them for adulthood.


Occupation on vacation

The vacation occupation subprogram is intended for the development of occupational activities and vocational guidance of young people during the summer holidays, so that they acquire socio-professional skills in a real context of professional occupation.

 

Recipients:

a) residents in the autonomous region of the Azores;

b) have aged 14 to 24 years, including;

c) attend the 9th grade or alternative teaching curricula, equivalent to the 3rd cycle or secondary education.

 

- The recipients of the vacation subprogram are also young people who hold the minimum academic qualification of the 3rd cycle of basic education.

Summer in Occupation

The summer subprogram in occupation aims to integrate young students, during occupational activities that develop socioprofessional skills that enable them to be more informed about their academic and professional choices future, enhancing its employability.

 

recipients:

a) young people residents of the Autonomous region of the Azores;

b) have ages between 16 and 24;

c) attend secondary education of general or professional or higher education equivalent to degree or master's degree.

 

promoters entity:

a) private companies;

b) social communication bodies;

c) companies in the social sector;

d) cooperatives.

Active young

The Young Asset subprogram aims to integrate young people in social vulnerability, who are integrated into social intervention projects or to whom educational tutelary measures have been applied, in a context of integration and social inclusion, with a view to promoting competences social and motivation and vocational guidance.

 

Recipients:

a) Young people residents of the Autonomous Region of the Azores;

b) aged 15 to 24 years, made until the date of the start of the project;

c) are integrated into social inclusion projects of private social solidarity institutions.


Young people who are being accompanied by the protection committees of children and youth are also recipients or the courts with the competence of minors and educational guardianship.

 

Promoting entities:

a) Child and young protection committees;

b) Private social solidarity institutions.


The entities provided for in the preceding paragraph will have to establish a partnership agreement with the entities where young people are developing the social inclusion project, adequacy of the occupation project to young people and monitoring activities.

 

Applications:

The applications of young people and projects promoting projects simultaneously from March 1 to April 30.

Young Students

The subprogram youth students aims at the occupation of free time of young people during the school period, in order to develop socio -professional development activities and concomitantly minimize the possibility of these young people to adopt deviant and risk behaviors during the absence of occupation.

 

Recipients:

a) young people between 15 and 24;

b) are enrolled in secondary education of general or professional education;

c) attend subjects related to this cycle of studies as external students;

d) have completed secondary education and crowded with access to higher education, but are not attending this level of education for lack of vacancy or for the course of the course;

e) are attending higher education.

 

Promoting entities:

Entities with headquarters or develop their activity in the Autonomous Region of the Azores that present projects to develop in this region under any of the OTLJ Program subprograms (Article 6 of the OTLJ Regulation).

 

Applications:

The applications of young people and projects promoting projects simultaneously in the following phases:


a) The first phase of applications runs from September 1 to October 15; b) The second phase of applications takes place 1 to January 15.
