Entrepreneurial Academy: School of Leaders

The Entrepreneurial Academy is an education program for entrepreneurship in a school context, which promotes skills through a learning-by-doing methodology and which provides educational programs adapted to all levels of education.

Recipients:

- Students from primary, secondary and professional schools in the Autonomous Region of the Azores;

- Young people from Social Action Institutions with recognized work with young people in vulnerable conditions;

- University of the Azores students or Azorean students studying outside the Region.


Regional Competition I9.Açores

I9-Açores is the last phase of Academia Empreendedora – Escola de Líderes, which is implemented during the school year in schools in the Region from 1st Cycle to Secondary Education, including schools professionals, with the aim of promoting and stimulating the development of entrepreneurial skills of young people in the school environment.

In 2022, the I9.Açores also involved the University of the Azores and Private Institutions of Social Solidarity, namely Kairós and Cáritas on the island of Terceira.

The competing projects, which have already passed local scrutiny in the respective schools in the Azores, deal with areas such as agriculture, tourism or gastronomy.

Each year, the 1st place winners in each of the competition categories will join an Entrepreneurial Mission, where they will have the opportunity to get to know the entrepreneurial ecosystem of the capital of Spain.

For Whom

O Programde Ideation Digital for Teaching University, promotedby SecretraiaYouth Regional, Qualification Professional< span style="language:en-US"> and Employment, through Regional Directorate for Youth, is directed to all the students Azoreans (minors of 30 years) that < span style="language:en-US">be in Education Polytechnic / University, be at the University of the Azores, either in anyUniversity / Institute Polytechnic seated in Mainland Portugal or< /span> in the Region Autonomous da Madeira.

 

How to Participate

A participation in all the Program is free and you may sign up same as no has none idea, because we will perform various activities< /span> team building and who you know, you can find the your partner in this adventure, alreadyin the elapse of the same.

 

Structure of the Digital Ideation Program

This course comprises 10 sessions, a total of 25H and covers topics ranging from the basic concepts of entrepreneurship, passing through content related to business plans, marketing or human resource management, closing with notions of funding and financing channels, start-ups or even pitch techniques.

Activate Your Potential

The “Activate your Potential” program is an immersive program in entrepreneurship, aimed at promoting entrepreneurial skills in young prisoners up to the age of 35, with a view to their socio-professional reintegration.

The initiative ​of the Government of the Azores, ​through the Regional Secretariat for Youth, Professional Qualification and Employment, in partnership with ​the General Directorate of Reinsertion and Prison Services, and the Ponta Delgada Prison Establishment, takes place within the scope of the Entrepreneurial Academy program.

Activate Your Potential


“Activate your Potential” takes place over 10 sessions and involves the participation of 15 inmates from the Ponta Delgada Prison Establishment, enabling a first intensive contact with the concepts of entrepreneurship, through an introduction to the behaviors and attitudes that entrepreneurs have, trying to demystify them.

The initiative is implemented through the learning by doing methodology, adapting the content and structure of the training paths to the reality of young prisoners , in a logic of building an evolutionary process of developing entrepreneurial and social skills.

“Activate your Potential” takes place until March 1st, covering several stages, including the “Entrepreneur for a Day” activity, which will allow participants to real experience of a micro business and the “Meeting with Entrepreneurs” that will give them the possibility to learn about the stories of challenges, successes and learning of Entrepreneurs. ​

To top it off, the “Entrepreneur's Fair” takes place, which aims to be a space where potential entrepreneurs have the opportunity to show their entrepreneurial project to the community.

From the map of the 9 islands of the Azores, Gaspar will travel the Archipelago along an adventure told through storytelling activities, allowing students to discover the territory and develop competence using games and pedagogical activities.

Secondary and Professional Education - CREATE YOUR FUTURE

Knowing that innovation and creativity are the order of the day, in this program, students must be creative, observing their territory and the world around them and identifying opportunities that arise can materialize in business.

Its basic premises are to raise awareness, train and educate students and teachers for entrepreneurship, leading them to develop a dynamic role, with their own opinions and autonomy.

Program adapted to be implemented with young audiences attending extracurricular activities in social action institutions.
