Euroscola

Euroscola is an annual program created by the European Parliament, with the following objectives: to familiarize young people with the functioning of European institutions; raise awareness among young people about their status as European citizens and their intervention in the future organization of Europe; offer young people a platform where they can express their opinions and value their involvement in the European project.

In Portugal, the Program is organized by the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ, I. P.) and the Office of the European Parliament in Portugal, with the participation of the Assembly of the Republic, the Legislative Assemblies and Regional Youth Directorates of the Azores and Madeira.

Euroscola is aimed at secondary school students (enrolled in the 10th or 11th year) and consists of simulating the work of Deputies to the European Parliament (MEPs).

In the first phase, the competition begins in the district or regional session, followed by a national session, in the Assembly of the Republic.
