The + Youth Package, through its measures, aims, in addition to the transversal policies defined by the XIV Regional Government of the Azores, to attract and retain talent in the Region, expanding the opportunities offered to Azorean youth and enhancing the development and prosperity of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

 


Back Home – Support for the Mobility of Young Students

The measure Return to Home – Support for the Mobility of Displaced Young Students allocates mobility grants for airline tickets, including the purchase of checked baggage , when this is not included in the airfare price, to young people who are away from their island of residence to study.

The mobility grant is intended for young people who are displaced from their island of residence and who travel by air between the islands of the Autonomous Region of the Azores, between these and the continental territory, and between those and the Autonomous Region of Madeira.

A deadline for applications is open, for theacademic year 2023/2024, on July 23on August 152024.

Azores Book Check

The “Cheque-Livro Açores” measure determines the granting of a book voucher, worth €100 (one hundred euros) for the purchase of physical/printed books, to young people who reach the age of majority.

Young people who cumulatively meet the following requirements are considered eligible for granting the book voucher:

a) Have tax residence in the Autonomous Region of the Azores and/or are natives of the Azores.

b) Be 18 years old at the time of making the custom application.

 

The “Cheque-Livro Açores” measure will be valid from September 1, 2024.

Salary Valuation

The Salary Enhancement Measure aims to reward the continuation of higher studies and contribute to the salary enhancement of qualified young people who choose to carry out their professional activity in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, through the attribution of financial support to attract and retain young people until at age 35.

 

Young workers residing in the Azores, aged 35 or less on the date of starting work in the Region, can benefit from this measure in one of the following modalities: open-ended employment contract, fixed-term employment contract (minimum of 1 year), L or T internship and self-employed workers.

 

Applications take place during an open period, fromAugust 1, at Youth Employment | DRQPE (azores.gov.pt).

Intern in the Azores

Measure to support short-term internships (1 to 6 months) in mobility.

 

Young Azoreans who decide to do an internship on an island other than their island of residence and young people from the Portuguese mainland and the Autonomous Region of Madeira who decide to do a professional internship on an island in the Azores can benefit from this measure, thus creating the conditions so that they can approach companies and decide to work in the Region.

 

Young students and recent graduates, holders of level IV to VIII, residing in Portugal, aged 30 years or less at the date of submission of the application, who are not currently eligible for this measure, can apply for this measure. work.
